Location: Natura Glamping, Serra da Gardunha, Fund?o, Portugal.
When to go?
. Winter if you want snow;
. April to May if you want to see the cherry blossom;
Where to stay?
. In the domes.
You can also stay at the guard’s house, but the domes are super romantic and have the best views over the mountain and the small city down the hill.
Get your camera ready, the views are stunning.
You can appreciate the amazing view lay down on the bed. It doesn’t get better than this: having a privileged view over the snow mountain, Serra da Estrela, while involved in such coziness inside the dome. We also went hiking lots and I made sure to take my camera because it’s amazing at taking outdoor photos. Take a look at the guides on Globo Surf to find out what the best cameras to take on a hike are.
Each dome has got a different theme. Ours was chestnut.
Each dome has a bedroom with privileged views, but you can also rent another bedroom for an extra 25 ? for two more people, so this is suitable for families too.
The only soap you can use is the one they give you, organic and handmade.
One of them just smells literally like olives… 100% natural.
Things to do:
If you get tired of the romance inside the dome, you can go for a hiking trip, there’s a hiking trail just outside the domes with excellent views. You may want to do some research into the 8 Best Long Range Two Way Radios ( Walkie Talkies, Manpack, Mobile Radios ) so you can keep in touch with other members of the group on your hiking trip.
The only thing that made me sad was the burned trees around this wonderful place, they were victims of a fire last summer and still recovering from that tragedy.
You can also visit a few historical villages a few kilometers away, such as Covilh?, Almeida, and Castelo Rodrigo, and others.
They have flyers at the reception, just choose your favorite before getting in your car.
About the food:
For dinner, they have a nice light meal, mostly salads, and tapas. You have vegan and vegetarian options for dinner.
However, if you want to eat something else, the small village is less than 10 minutes away and you can get some traditional food or nice pizza there.
Breakfast is really nice, everything is made on time and they have vegan options such as vegetable-based milk, homemade jam, peanut butter and lots of fresh fruits.

Natura Glamping, Serra da Gardunha, Portugal.
. Inverno, se voc?s quiserem neve;
. Abril a maio, se voc? quiser ver a flor de cerejeira;
